Mask From Points 1.0

Mask From Points 1.0 - is a Houdini SideFX digital asset for point masking, based on infection simulation(transferring mask attribute between neighboring points), allowing the creation and control of mask activators on animated objects.

The asset enables creating curves on polygonal objects by mouse click in the viewport and using these curves as attribute spreading activators between points. The created curves are attached to polygons and inherit all their transformations (if the polygonal object on which the curve is created moves, the curve will move along with it). Asset settings also allow controlling the speed and shape of mask spreading, smoothing the curves' shape, managing scatter to create masked points, applying parent transformations to these points, assigning the @orient attribute to points, and changing the rotation angle.

Attachto

Attachto is a Houdini SideFX digital asset for adding points to polygons by clicking the LMB in the viewport.

Attachto creates points when the LMB is clicked in the viewport on polygonal geometry objects and attaches these points to the polygons on which they were created, inheriting all subsequent transformations of the parent polygons. By using with "CopyToPoints" SOP node this asset allows for quick and convenient attachment of instanced geometry to other polygonal geometry objects, creating groups, and controlling orientation and position relative to the parent objects.

Simshot 1.0

Simshot 1.0 is a Houdini SideFX digital asset for accelerated development and customization of scenes with emulation of shots from different types of weapons, accompanied by various effects when hit.

The asset's capabilities enable its application in a wide range of scenarios, both during the development of new scenes and in integration into existing ones. Automatic trajectory calculation through tracking, procedural addition of various effects to impact areas and moving points, controlled interaction with simulation, addition of explosion sources to impact positions, creates a polygonal model of the movement trajectory inside an object and much more.

Simshot moves points along specified trajectories, determining collisions with polygonal geometric objects, where it creates points at the intersections of polygons and a polygonal model of the trajectory of movement inside the polygonal object. Asset calculates the rebound effect with a configurable bounce angle threshold. The points and polygons created as a result of calculations have special attributes for applying accompanying effects.

Aim 2.0

Aim 2.0 is a viewport utility utilized in tandem with HDA Simshot to augment its capabilities and accelerate develop and create scenes with various types of weapon shots accompanied by different hit effects.

The asset is used in conjunction with HDA Simshot to enhance its capabilities and expedite the setup of scenes featuring shots fired from any weapon with various effects at impact points.

The asset generates points with special attributes used by HDA Simshot for trajectory calculations. It enables real-time creation of shooting scenes, allowing users to add and control trajectories by clicking mouse within the viewport, similar to first-person shooter video games. Alternatively, it can be used for trajectory calculation through point tracking.
